Issues:

• BIOSPACE DEPLOYMENT.
  • Deployments went well.  All machines around 7m deep.  4-band bungee seems much more stretchy (Bruce at SC site).
  • SC site is 11.5 miles from Abe's house, thus had to use Brent's shore station.  3-6 feet more of antenna would really help.
  • Some discussion of WHOI's idea of radio testing Oct 13-15 when Bruce on cruise
  • Brent set up 'seeds' that all pulling down mid-res images and file copying from instruments to shore stations.

    • Machines and first day of mission

Bruce

had problem with SH1.  either air in line or blue frit.  used lyfill to flush intake, and then retried and it ran it's first SH1.  Bruce has old CTD (that used to corrupt HEX files but is working okay right now) and old driver.

Mack

Mack as newer CTD but started with old driver.  Miscommunication; thought Mack would have old CTD.  Brent pushed down updated code (with new driver).  This has not been QC'd...

MOE

first IPC looked good. second failed.  Third looked good.  Arrays are black.  multiple reasons why this could be but bottom line; not enough QC.

  • Parts for new IEP will arrive by next Thursday.
  • Plan:
    • Install IEP Oct 12
    • Load Reagents Oct 21 then begin testing
    • Seal DWSM Nov 3-4.  High pressure testing during/after.
    • Sphere closed Nov 17
  • Brent will need to modify firmware to get pump into dwarf port
  • Went over Scott's to-do list; he's gone until Oct 25.
  • D-ISUS--when will it be ready?  It will run off battery pack, and this Dec we'll use Luke's Al housing.  Do they want Ti housings?  We need to order.
    • 2 months on this ISUS housing build.
• Bruce K brought up temp issue in GOM.  Much discussion, no resolution.

G3 planning

• Team needs as much info as possible before Nov 11,12 requirements meeting.  What are goals, who will be presenting, schedule of the day should go to team ASAP.
